somalis from Rags to Riches

Postby Somaliman% » Mon May 21, 2007 8:49 am

Anybody has some inspiring Rags to Riches stories of Somalis inside and outside Somalia.
i have seeing a few somalis who have started small businesses and now their business are huge. we need role models who have built up so much fortune for themselves.

people who set up businesses in somalia despite the anarchy these people are heroes, such as the owners of Dahabshiil, Daallo, Damal, Amal, Dalsan, STG, Global, Nationlink and etc. they are great individuals who we should hear about, so that we can learn from them and follow their foot steps.

There are a lot of Somalis in the diaspora with thriving companies. I'm not talking about Farah and his Internetshop or a xalimo with her little maqaxi. I'm talking about millionaires with consultancy firms. We Somalis need people to look up to. There are a lot of Somali entrepreneurs that don't get the attention they deserve.
