Galgadud-Uranium Deposits

Postby Ican » Tue May 22, 2007 10:20 pm

Can someone who's familiar with the region answer these questions please.

Is Galgadud mostly hawiye degan, or mixed?

Wikipedia article says galgadud has the largest uranium deposits in Africa, can anybody verify? If so, why are there no companies mining there?

Habar Gidr and Uranium are a bad mixture. THE IAEA would be up in arms if they could sell it on the black market Laughing

Uranium is not the problem,
i dont think it would raise many eyebrows if you sold it by the ton.

Niger sells it to anyone who has the money,

enrichment technology on the other hand will get an immediete response,.

Gurey

Obviously the enrichment of Uranium is the key. However say the ICU took control of somalia and they were shipping large quantities of Uranium to IRAN. Don't you think a few western eye brows would be raised?

can you prove that statement?

Iran already has large deposits and does not import uranium and the ICU does not have an active mine working in galgadud.

it all a load of bull

Theoretical sxb. Not saying that the ICU had mines in Dhuusamareeb. Laughing

But here look at an article I found.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jh ... alia16.xml

It talks about What ifs and alot of BS. But the possibilities aren't far off.

However, this would explain America's interest in the region. If not outright interest, interest in not having Somalia influenced by someone else.

yeah, I had a close relative who was very social to begin with, and then he went to Dubai.

He did everything from hang out with Bedouins, to falcon hunting with 'Sheiks', to helping West African Magic Men exchange counterfeit Euros Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing
