Sadwill.. can you please clarify for me... what exactly ONLF is fighting for?

At first they looked like they wanted to brake free form the christian dominated ethiopia and join the Somali brothers "SOMALIA" but then i was told they are fighting for Indepedance like SOMALILAND and have no intension in joining Somaliweyn.

okay first they were fighting to be free from Habashi rule and join Somalia

but now they don't want to join Somalia because Somalia is in a mess, we can't trust our land and people to country that doesn't have a government.

ONLF name should be changed definitely.

Look at all other resistance groups. Afar Revolutionary Democratic Unity Front ,OLF Oromo Liberation Front .TPLF Tigray.................... and etc.

ONLF should be abolished right now. and replaced with Somali Liberation Front,

Somaliland and Djibouti focked up the idea of greater Somalia. That is why ONLF is no longer fighting to become part of greater Somalia.

I think Ogadenia can become independent of Ethiopia only when there is an independet Somalia. Since Somalia is not even independent of Ethiopia at the moment, Ogadenia has no chance of liberation. And oh yeah ONLF needs to become more inclusive and reach out to all somalis living in the region. Route(sp?) out corruption too.

The Majority of these area is still Absame but I see the Dir you talking about now. Essa, Gajabursi & Isaaqs = Dir

First of all isaaq is not Dir second of all gadarbiirsa is just a nickname and u have to samaroon and they is alot of them residing especially in the much more northern areas which tend to be much more hospitable and there is the Essa which is also huge in especially the area around DireDawa so am just saying if there is ever an indepntent ogaden region i gurantee u it will start another war between us and eventually lead to spliting up which is the norm for somali society.
