UPDATE ON BULOGUDUD!..............

I was cruising around with my pops earlier, and normally he's not the biggest siyasaad guy. However today, he wanted to get the latest news on Kismayo, so he said "Starbucks ka nagu leexi, qolodaan, aan war kaso raadsan". Obediently, I navigated our way to the Starbucks, where there were a group of 4 men, outside the closed abandoned cafe, in a heated discussion. We pulled up, and they looked us up and down, obviously trying to figure out our qabil. When my Father came closer he asked "Ma kuwan ma Harti baa?"...(Don't ask me how the hell he knew), and they were like "Haa". Then my Father got straight to the point and asked "Kismayo wax war ah?" Before they gave an answer, they first went over all the players in the conflict. They said that only parts of Ogaden were involved. Then one guy pulled up in his taxi (He was Dhulbahante I believe), and he said "Afgudud iyo qolodeesa waala soo ceryiyey". To show you how its never personal between Darood, Immedietely after that, my Dad and these guys got into nostalgic talk on the good old days. The DAWLAD days. My Father being one of the oldest of the group, started relating all kinds of stories, and they reminicsed, about Mamul Darood, and the days of civilization. My Dad started relating some crazy stories about he and Gen Morgan (Apperently this guy was a character), and these guys went on and on until it got late. Finally they all gave their "Bal Haben Wanaksans" and left. The sad news? There was a war between brothers. The good news? (If what the guy said was true) Bulogudud was liberated. More good news? Its good to see that, no matter what, its all love between Darood brothers at the end of the day.
