I have been offline on Somali news for a couple of days.
What happened to Barre Hiiraale ?
Who did it ?
How is he doing ?
What will be the response ?
Can the prospect of reconciliation between Barre Hiiraale & Afbiijo dead ?
Thanks,

DS,
So is he okay ?
Whoever does such shady, cowardly attacks should be caught !
So what does my concern for Hiiraale have to do with Cayr & Marexan ?

Abdiwahab,
Mudane Barre aden Shire, is in great health, and only had a scrape well above his eye from the shrapnel after the bomb. He was well enough to give an interview right after it happened to Shabelle.net
This was a targeted assasination by Afbijo, Ghedi and co, after their frusturation over their bitter defeat, coupled with the realization that Xabashis are not coming to help them, therefore sealing Kismayo's fate. Also, with this reconciliation conference coming up, these guys see people like Abdiqassim Salad, Barre Hiiraale and a few others as big threats to their regime, as their very well respected among their people. In addition to that, Afbijo wanted to create a Marexan civil war, therefore paving the way for Kismayo. Infact there was a celebration in Villa Somalia, when Ghedi and Afbijo prematurely celebrated thinking he was dead. Final result: Alxamdurilah their plan was foiled, the people who did this are going to be hunted down and tortured slowly, Marexans are outraged and 100% in support of Mudane Barre Shire therefore furthur unifying Marexan. With Eithiopia vowing to leave somalia, and themselves even admitting today that they made some mistakes, and Xamar far from being pacified, and their ragtag army being routed in Kismayo, the pressure is taking a toll for Afbijo and friends. Abdiwahab, did I answer your questions?

LuqGanane,
Yes you did.
Any chance you could share your wisdom/diplomatic tact with DS ?
I am friends with Barre's cousins from way before the civil war.

Abdiwahab, infact, not speaking from a qabiliste point of view, but Barre has the most cross-qabil connections then many of these other politicians in Somalia. The Sheikhals, Galjecels had absolutely no problem with him during his reign, in addition to that he has close ties with Aden Madobe (One of the former RRA leaders). Therefore Afbijo and co, are afraid that other likeminded parlament members will make an alliance against him. However this guy was the worst nightmare to Majerten and Ogaden, as under his leadership they were disgraced time, and time again. A/wahab, you can't argue with the fact that these Dhabayacos and Caghdeers shudder everytime they hear his name. He's their boogeyman.

Their hate for him, shows their respect and fear for him. In addition, with his appointment as defense minister, it says something about his integrety, how he absolutely refused to do the things they wanted him to do, and did it his way. His whole reason for taking the post in the first place, was to strategically put Marexan back in Kismayo, which happened. Right now this "Government" has absolutely no presence in the most fertile and strategic place in Somalia, in addition AY's promise of delivering MJ back in Kismayo if this dawlad thing doesn't work out is gone forever. Now Majerten have been reduced to crying, and bi-ching. Cry me a river I say.
