I didn't see that particular documentary, but you can imagine the case in Somalia. A few politicians will try to get rich, the country is already awash with arms and the minute a sub-clan feels like they're being marginalized or being cheated, there will be clashes and skirmishes.

Oil would add fuel to the fire, no pun intended.

Its just aano qabiil and it gets solved quick. Cumar Mohamuds havent fought each other for a long time. And even if they fight its two or one person dead. The elders get in between before it gets nasty. Thats the nature of being reer mudug warrior. Nobody takes anything from anybody.
