More evidence of the ILKOYAR regime's crimes against the ILKODHEER, the elephants:

Monkey Abdiwahab, Do you know how many reserves we had back then prior to the locusts from the middle regions? At least 10 of them

I know of

Balcad Game and Natural Reserve,

Alifuuto NatureReserve etc where rhinos, elephants, lion cheetah, tortoise and Ostrich were kept there.

You can even find its online ad http://www.mbendi.co.za/travel/attr/8/f461.htm

Gladitor:

Read the articles.

There were no ELEPHANTS left in Somalia before 1991.

Ilkoyar finished them.

That ad u pointed to is out of date

Fuk the article. How can the government eradicate the wild animal when it created so many Game Reserves in the country. Poachers are everywhere, but we had a law back then , which would sentence poachers to death were they caught with the crime.

Gladiotor,

Why was Maslah Mohamed Siyaad Barre not arrested for taking ivory that was to be confiscated as shown in the earlier article.

The
Service's action is based upon evidence in a petition from World
Wildlife Fund, U.S., alleging that Somalia is not effectively
controlling the domestic take of elephants and that exported
ivory does not meet the requirements of international control
systems..................

Marxuum BAre was a patriot man but he had rogue ministers and officials in his government. As the above declassified article states, the government did not effectively enforce the rules and perhaps some of these ministers had a stake in that illegal trade.

Gladiator, as a Harti, and speaking on behalf of a Sade myself, we really shouldn't be conversing with a Hutu (Sacad) in regard to Governmental policies. Its just way above their head. Laughing Laughing

Speaking of the Marxuum Bare does not mean to be speaking of on behalf of Mareexan. I truly admire that president though he made some mistakes. He was overall a patriot man in his preservation of our literature, culture, history, and precious land from merciless foreign exploitation. He attached lots of importance to the conservation of our sand dunes like the one in Shalanboot, forest management, and promotion of agriculture and tourism.

Gladiator, anyone who speaks of MSB in the light as a "Marehan Legacy" is an idiot. I never said MSB was a Mareahn leader. He wasn't a "faction leader" but the president of a nation. He made mistakes, mistakes that even he admitted. However as he said "He who does not perform, does not make mistakes". However do yourself a favor, and respond don't respond to bafoons such as AW. Its 2007 and this man is spending every breathing moment trying to dig up any sort of thing he could find, to discredit a man who's been dead for over a decade. What an idiot.
