A lot of opinionated folks in this region...People there are really free to express their opinion something our neighbor to the west lack.

Only in Puntland can people be protesting with smiles and laughs. It's sad though the people that organized this (same people that tried to take over the parliament) hide behind women, children and old men. Is it me or am I seeing freedom of speech emerging in Puntland? I mean public criticism? Masha'Allah.

Cabdallah252,

Walaal its home, like you I also have relatives in Bosaso, Qardho, Garowe, Galkayo, LasAnod, and Erigavo which is why we must protect this oasis of ours at all cost...I hate to see my people upset, Mr. Cade must resign or address this problem am sure the ball is in his court now that the people of PL made it clear enough is enough.

Btw...Mr. Yusuf flew in from the Somali Capital to address this problem as well and here are some photos of him being received by the people of PL:

Insha'Allah things there will return to normal now that our heads are discussing this issue.

N@steexo,

Puntland economy is becoming increasingly fragile because of the lack of a responsible and accountable government...This I think is what lead people there to protest, but there is more to this than I could explain. So if your interesting in knowing more to this here is a link, I hope it helps in answering your question:

Why weren't there state-wide protests then?

Thanks for the link. Smile

Corruption everywhere I look! The fat one in Garowe grows fatter off of the sweats of the poor.
