21 years of terror?

Fukk of with that bullsh1t, atleast we all could live in Somalia in the 70s and 80s Confused

Somalia in Siad Barre's first decade prospered alot, but he wasn't perfect and he admitted it as much so

its just the late 80s, especially after '86 when a lot of sh1t started going down and Siad's regime had to struggle to hold on to power w/ any means necesaary and thats when a lot of people got killed and when all the rebel movements fell into place like dominoes (even though a lot were developed after the failure of the Ogaden War)

Laughing ,Wadaniweyn, what made yourself look more pitiful than you actually are, is when you edited UNCR reports that talked about rapes by OTHER groups upon others, and painted it the way you did. Thats why you would post the paragraphs and not the links. So your lying about the incident and events, and your "joy" over it, just makes you a sad miskin induvidual.

i normally dont watch da qabiil discussions but its unbe-fukkin-lievable da amount of hypocrisy displayed in dis topic, i was personally worried my computer would crash and frantically checked if snet has a maximum hypocrisy tolerance level to see how much this topic shattered it by

bal ii sheega wats da difference between 2007 and 1991, aside from 16 years? wat was ok then cant be wrong now, its either they were both a disgrace and tragic or theyre both equally caadi and acceptable...u dont gotta think wat the USC mooryans did was right in order to be wrong cuz even thinkin it was ok under any circumstances is equally wrong...not all hawiye are to blame, but not all hawiye are blame-free still so stop tryna put gloves on for ppl who have blood on their hands

at the end of the day, i dont give a fukk about sum1 thats hawiye apologizing for or even acknowledging the actions of their tribesmen cuz that wont bring anybody back but i equally dont give a fukk about hearin their calaacal (when the same actions happen on a different date to their own ppl) if theyre gonna strategically interpret wat makes a situation a tragedy (aka clan affiliation)...

i know if i talk sense, i'll prolly run the risk of bein called "a biased qabiilist" by those blinded by their own ancestry but jus to shut da haters up inside their own heads first, yeaaah im MJ but i dont support ethiopian troops on somali soil and da life of a somali/muslim is equal to the life of any other somali/muslim...so if you mourn, i'll mourn...but if u wanna celebrate? fukk it, i'll bring the fireworks....

point blank....the glass can't alternate between being half full or half empty depending on which clan is bein massacred Arrow

History will record that Hawiye masses defeated Tigrey attempt to colonize Somalia, and Northeastern will be recorded as collaboraters, while Southwestern will be described as sympatisers to the cause of Tigreys. Its like in the years of 19th century when some Somali groups actively supported the invaders and others actively resisted it, and gues which group history commemorates?[/quote]

Look at Somaliweyn trying desperately to salvage the Hawiye name and at the same time trying to tie Southwestern tribes to the issue of Xamar. How pathetic! The irony is that a Mudulood authorized, encouraged, sanctioned, and pleaded the entry of Ethios into Somalia.

How many Southwesterners were at this Pro-Geedi rally in DC when Geedi was praising the Ethios as saviors of Somalia and Togane recited the most emotional 10 page poem in his life.

He always mentions Hawiye name in a good light and isolates their individual politicians as not representing Hawiye - however numerous they are. However, his standards when it comes to "Southwestern tribes" is so much lower

There's no denying I was at that event.........Truthfully however, the primary reason I went was to provide some sort of report to an organization I work with.

But that's irrelevant. Cool

''I am suprised that these USC Mooryaans had the time to develop and air such footage whilst they were unleasing havoc on the city. ''

I find it quite funny how remnants of Siad Barre can twist history without shame. So Barre's regime didn't shel desperately every section of Mogadishu which they suspected of been Hawiye-stronghold? Didn't he unleashed his Red Berets? Or the USC was behind all this,,while at the same time shooting historic video footage Laughing

I have over and over again proved how dark Siad Barre's legacy is...the Red Berets on Somnet have on every occasion evaded any serious discussion of the 21 years rule of Barre. Instead they always dotch this issue by going to other topics: post-1991, how things went bad etc. What does this say? They have no credible historical proof that the 21 years of Barre were positive.

You can not have a serieus discussion with emotional people who consider USC ''like Gog and Magog '' or ''revenge for their crimes against innocent Daaroods ''.

What do those comments tell you? These kids still harbor severe grudge against Mogadishu people for kicking them out of Booli Qaran, stealing their landcruisers, taking away that good life. Why else would they show this kind of aggressive emotions towards Mogadishu people for something that happened 16 years ago?

First get rid of those silly emotions, so we can have a coolheaded discussion about the period.

Somaliweyn, all "emotion aside" can you explain why you went after every Darood, when in your words it was the Marehan who "caused all this mess". Just answer that question for me please.

Somaliweyn,

Most Somalis have fond and nostalgic memories of "Booli Qaran" compared to now, so the only thing you can say about "Booli Qaran" is that you failed to even come up with something matching it.

If you call me ciyaal Booli Qaran b/c of my tribe, then I can call you ciyaal USC b/c of your tribal affiliation and we all know which was better/worse for the country.

In the future, keep "Southwestern tribes" out of your mouth when it is Mudolood who are cheering and dancing w/ Geedi for the arrival of Tigrey troops.

You couldn't tie Southwestern tribes to the Tigrey invasion so you have to use soft words like "sympathize" Laughing
