Allah ALWAYS keeps his promises.

According to the Hadith cited, Allah has promised to protect his Holy Cities in the Hejaz from destruction until the eschatological End Times are upon us.

If Mecca and Medina were destroyed tomorrow, two conclusions can be drawn. First, that Allah does not keep his promises, which is KUFR. Second, the Hadith upon which our assumption is based is fabricated.

As far as me is concerned if there is an authentic hadith that states Mecca is protected by Allah SWT which has been thus far in one way or another...and its destroyed tomorrow by American bombs....then it will put many questions into my mind....on the other hand if these bombs dont detroy the Ka'ba then it will convince many non muslims....dont you think??

I think people are confused here, Mecca was destroyed and rebuild in the past with no earth shattering consequences. We do not worship these buildings. I can see why some non Muslims may be confused on this point but why are so many Muslims ignorant of their history? One of the major signs of judgment day is the destruction of the kabbah! So how can Muslims say the kabbah cannot be destroyed!? As for medina It will also see many afflictions and trials, however The Dijjal will not be able to enter Medina as it is protected by angels. We cannot conclude from this that Medina will not be destroyed because there will be many earthquakes and afflictions as numerous a raindrops all over Medina. These afflictions will clean medina of any hypocrites.

Mad Mac you’re a clown, why would you ask for a straight forward answer when you know better. I say if you want to shake the beliefs of Muslims try leaving the holy sites alone.

Cawar there are many hadith on this issue, It is true that Mecca and Medina are protected by angels (from dijjal) and there are many hadith which state that an Ethiopian with skinny shins will enter Mecca and destroy it! You cannot view one hadith in isolation without looking at all the hadith an this issue. From my readings its clear that Mecca will be detroyed and the final save heaven for muslims will be Medina.

The Jews would never allow Americans to attack mecca or Medina. Infact, they would defend Mecca & Medina. Otherwise a second Jewish holocaust would happen, and this time no Jew would be left alive anywhere on earth.

So as long as Jews exist on earth, nobody can dare touch Mecca or Medina.

JB I have heard this before...and thanks for your explanation as well...but my point was more like comparing the potential destruction of the Ka'ba by some enemies today to that tried by Ashab al Feel.

Cawar, it’s disturbing to see so many Muslims pinning their faith on the indestructibility of Mecca when their own faith states that Mecca will be destroyed towards the end of time. This is utter ignorance.

Gurey its hard to give one link which summarizes everything because its spread over many different chapers (in hadith books) and in many different books as well. Most of it can be found in Ibnul Kathirs “Signs before the Day of Judgment”

Under Major signs you will note the destruction of the Kabah. I've read the actual text of the hadith but i don’t have it handy now.

You can also read sahih Bukhari and the chapter of the virtues of Madina. About the afflictions and trials Madina will face during the time of dijjal.

A good example is:

Narrated Usama:
Once the Prophet stood at the top of a (looked out from upon one) castle amongst the castles (or the high buildings) of Medina and said, "Do you see what I see? (No doubt) I see the spots where afflictions will take place among your houses (and these afflictions will be) as numerous as the spots where rain-drops fall."

Gurey here are two explicit hadith which state that Medina and the Kabbah would be destroyed.

1) Muaz-b-Jabal reported that the messenger of Allah said: the populous habitation of Jerusalem will be the result of destruction of Medina, and the destruction of Medina will be the (result of) occurrence of a great war and the occurrence of the great war will be the (result of the) conquest of Constantinople will be the (result of) coming out of Dajjal. (Abu Daud).



2) muslim Book 041, Number 6951 The Book Pertaining to the Turmoil and Portents of the Last Hour (Kitab Al-Fitan wa Ashrat As-Sa`ah)

Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: The Ka'ba would be destroyed by an Abyssinian having two small shanks.
