DS ofcourse bro, its as true as the movie shows. Even tho so many have jumped down Moor's throat. The part got me worried is when he talks about how the media tries to influence american ppl to thinking that privatized health care is the best way to go.

Yes, Americans are brainwashed. I'm moving to Australia soon inshallah. My health ins costs $323 a month although half of it is paid by my work. I think its ridiculous.

Dawladsade,

Special interests really do have the American health system by the throat. I am hoping single payer becomes an issue either during or after the current election. I am not pro-Hillarious, but that was her big issue during the first years of the Clinton Administration.

I don't know much about the Canadian system, but there is a downside to the British system you should know about. There is an extensive private health care system in Britain that parallels the public one. It serves those who have the money and do not want to wait the (often unreasonable) lengths of time it takes to get public service, or those who want treatment or services that are not covered by the public system.

I understand this to include most restorative dental services and cancer treatments. While I can understand the restorative services, I was disturbed that the patients I saw in a recent documentary said they sought private care because the statistics said they would be dead if they waited for public treatment.

Sounds like a problem to me, and this is an effect often quoted by those opposed to public systems.

No one system is perfect, even large number of British people beleive that the NHS should be abolished and that individuals should pay themselves.

Grant,

Regardless of unique cases, the British live longer then the Americans and are overall more healthier because of their universal health care system. Nothing can take away from that.

If people are more wealthier and able to finance their health matters, kudos to them and I have no problem with them seeking more advanced care at the hands of private caregivers. The majority of the people, the "have nots", however, are clearly benefiting from the system and I am sure they would rather wait to get seen rather than not be seen at all.

Honestly, I don't think Hillary or anyone, democrat or republican, has the balls to take on special interest especially in the health care industry. In fact if you watch the film, you would know Hillary is right now the second highest recipient of funds from that sector. Makes you think, doesn't it?
