Potatoes potata Bullshid...................What SOmalia are you talking about? IF each qabil creats its own so called state, wont that divide "US" even more than we are already divided? The only people beating around the bush are the blood thirsty ignorant ol' geezers who are trying to run a country by divided it into tribal terriories, and still have a democracy. This Somali politics is a joke a big fat joke. All they know is how to use big words and an empty thought. WTF.

Ismahan, you are too naive to grasp the mechanics of federalism. These tribal states is based on consociotional framework that could create a stable and democratic government in Somalia. The polity based on this model are cooperation among political elites, seperation of powers, balanced bicameralism, terrotorial federalism and decentralization of power and a high degree of autonomy for each tribal community to run its own affairs. But, we will all come under a federal regime. Many countries are based on this. However, Somaliland pursues a different and precarious path, that is dismembering our country into two pieces.

This ban is in Somaliland's favor, the Tuugta-Fadaraha-Gunta are tying the rope around their necks. This is to stop people fleeing the Ethio/Daarood occupation of Xamar, appears the thpusands they killed since April are not enough, this mass genocide needs to be stopped and it will only stop when Hawiye unite against this Tigre/Dooro killers

Somaliland was right to stop accepting the Tuugta-Fadaraha-Gunta TFG new passport

Ismahaan123

Glad to see a realist Somali. We in Somaliland are not the enemy those TFG masqurading as true defenders of all things Somalia while riding on top of Ethiopian tanks are the real enemy, the ones who kill civilians in Xamar, women and children indiscriminately. Somalilanders chose to live in peace, we decided to opt out of call the long misarble union and we are not going back, hope you undertsand and respect our wishes to live in peace as two nations

Somali2003,

I'm sorry dear but I will have to cut this short and tell you I have had these sort of discussions of many times and yet I fail to come across anyone with a fresh, logical and rather realistic of the situation argument. Is it what I want to hear or is it what is in the reality of the situation? Bal kala saar labadaas. Its one thing to be naive but its another to just turn a blind sight on the truth. Like I said before, these Somali politicals or even their supports know how to use the fancy schmancy words to legitimize their policies or what not. However, what we fail to do is question those words and the true stubstantial meaning behind them. We are too blindfolded by Qabyaalaad even our most educated is effected by it sadly. So, dont call me naive. The naive are those who dont question, the naive are those who are selfish and rather live for today because he dont think about the future. These states you speak off, who and what gov't created them. So maaha, each clan for its land and focus on that alone? So, how do you expect to establish a sense of unity or nationalism that is need for a democractic gov't to run a country. When the mentality of the people are set on "Care for your Qabil and fock the rest". Even a maggot could tell you this is headed for a disaster. For one, the literacy rate in that country wont allow such a thing to happen, and secondly, heck when people get a sense of statehood(that is tribal state) they might not even want a greater Somalia.

Walahi Ismahan, I rest my case cuz you don't want to admit that our great country needs a unitary system of governance, where all Somali tribes are represented. SOMALIA IS ONE baby

Having these states puts less power in the hands of the federal government

so we don't repeat history

Somaliland is just an exception to the rule
