Does Maakhir have a hope in hell of getting Bosaso?

I haven't heard about this, but then again I can't read Somali.
What do you mean by "partner city", it's shared between the two states?
And shared as in half and half (like Erigavo or Galcayo) or the whole thing is shared?
How is it a partner city of Maakhir if Puntland doesn't recognize Maakhir's claim to autonomy?

James Dahl, Bosaaso is still our main territory but it has been a city shared by different Harti clans. It is not in our interest to disrupt this balance and the peaceful nature of the city. Moreover, our economic and political ties will still remain intact, but certainly you can't run two adminstration from one Port. Definately, there will be a conflict of interest and military clash.

Second, Maakhir is a long process and it will take time for it to fully materialize. for the time being, Maakhir will be servicing its defined territory, fixed population through the current stracture of its own governance. Future projects are underway.

The region has comparative adventage over many regions of Somalia. It has beuatiful landscape, potential mineral and oil resources, and a long coast.

Wadaniwayn, Maakhir is a local state under Federal Somalia. Its main platform is economic development and strengthening the jurisdiction of traditional authority that has been undermined by Puntland and Somaliland. For instance, Warsangeli is sidelined to enter contract with another party on their own territory when in 1886, they could enter treaty with any country in the world and also permitted the appointment of any consul in their own territory. Maakhir attempts to revive lost dignity and respect.

If your concern is the sacred unity of our country, Maakhir does not radically depart from Somalia's unity contrary to your distorted reaction. Rather, it conforms to the consocional model of federalism to which our country has now adopted as an alternative to the national anarchy and its relative misery and chaos. The people are aggressively patriotic and collaborative.
