Somalia's ailment is a combination of two things: widespread ignorance and outside influences.

Our people for the most part are ignorant people and greedy warlords feed on this ignorance for their own selfish gains.

We have many enemies, both Muslim and non-Muslim, near and far. While we have been busy killing each other, they have been busy killing us.

I honestly think, we need a grass roots movement. No outside interventions, no military interventions. We need to educated our people of the value of our deen and our motherland. We need to invest time in making people understand that Qabyaalad is what has destroyed us.

We need to invest time, money & energy in teaching people that war is not the way to solve Somalia's problems. Education and religious awareness on a grass roots level.

Kulligiin intelligencekiina hadii leysku daro it won't equal half of mine . Excluding koronto that is, he is the only smart habargidir here.

Indulge me ma, how so.

I was naive enough to believe that maybe ethiopia's invasion of Somalia might be a wake-up call for Somalis. But when I realized that Somalis don't give a rat's @ss about being invaded/colonized/occupied by an enemy, I realized how focked we are.

Qabyaalad has really eaten at our humanity, our decency, our pride, our nationhood. I guess after a long period of more suffering, people will get fed up and do something.

You know, Ilaahey does not help those who do not help themselves.

In addition, there is just too much injustice in Somalia. Too much innocent Muslim blood was shed.

I was in Marka during the last few days of the 1991 civil war, I saw Cad Cads filling up ships going to Yemen. When I left Marka, I later heard that those who remained were assaulted in a very vicous way.

40 year old virgins who never left their homes were gang raped in front of their fathers, many young Cad Cad girls were hauled off to God knows where, etc.

Injustice like that doesn't just go away.
