US Disconnect With Facts on the Ground In Somalia

Postby AbdiWahab252 » Fri Sep 21, 2007 5:35 pm

Seriously, I feel I am watching the DAILY SHOW on the Comedy Channel when I listen and read to what the US Embassy in Kenya and Undersecretary for African Affairs, Jeyandani Frazer give reports going on the ground.

Its total bullsh&t spin that makes me laugh and wonder when Jon Stewart will come on Laughing

SPIN:

1. Reconciliation Conference a Great Success - So great that the fighting continues every day.

2. Ethiopians will not leave until there are peacekeeping forces to replace them - Yep, the TFG is so weak and powerless with LITTLE CREDIBILITY that it would collapse faster than a sandcastle.

3. Somalia is now less safe for terrorists - With the city of Xamar destroyed, 1 million people displaced and constant harassment of civilians of the TFG only makes Somalia a fertile place for all enemies of the Ethiopians and the US.

Let me tell you about my experience with the Daily Shaw with Jon Stewart. I was told to strip and searched even though I had a ticket to see the show, because the security personal found out my last name sounded Arabic. I came out from the show and asked if I could speak with the main man: the security chief? I was told to go home. So I left.

They probably thought you were a terrorist sent to harm Stewart.

*jr,

The low blow is that a over 1 million people have been displaced, over 20,000 killed and vast sections of the Mogadishu leveled all because of the desire to capture 4 suspected terrorists who were alleged to be in Somalia yet have not been found.

That is the low blow.

However, I would find it hard for you to empathize with those victims.

*jr,

Honest question and answer it honestly:

"Do you have close relations who live in Xamar ?"

You would be singing a different tune if many of your relatives were living there and dealing with the disaster.

Rer Hargeisa who may have not liked Mogadishu in the past because of Siyaad are deeply shocked and are treating Xamar's refugees well with the limited resources they have. While in Puntland, the people celebrate the Ethiopian genocide in Xamar and harass the qaxooti who try to make their way to Somaliland.

There are no Hutus in Somalia. The fact u feel its right to denigrate the victims shows u are a sick bas.tard like Afbiijo.

However, what goes around comes around and Puntland will get its due.

As for those Isbaaros, they were eliminated by the UIC who also reopened the airport, seaport and provided good security. For 6 months, Xamar was functioning properly before the Ethiopian invasion and occupation. I may have liked the UIC, but they were the closest thing to a government Somalia has had in over 17 years.

King of Awdal,

Xamar had a population of 2.5 million people. In the outskirts of Xamar, there are over 400,000 qaxooti sleeping under trees.
