Palm trees and a few parks and palm forrest would be good. But they need an urban planner. Kick out the squatters or build them housing. Generate more income throw the diaspora by investing in the town more extensively and holding politicians accountable. That is the future of Somalia.

Very Happy for the Mosque.

Sad for the fact that the largest masjid in Somalia is in Xamar, its like 5 or 10x the size of the Garowe masjid, the locals still have a long way to go.

But Garowe shall compete in the larger masjid stage one day.

Metal,

Yeah, dude! That is Masaajidka Isbaheysiga. It was built in the 1980s by Kuwait as a gift to Somalia. It was located next to the statute of Dhagaxtuur & infront of Guriga Ummada, it was also across from the statute of Sayidka & Beerta Daraawiishta. Very strategic place. I used to attend the madrasah there as a kid. Beautiful Masjid, beautiful architecture, the landscaping alone was incredibly well-maintained.

Sadly, it closed after the civil war and was never re-opened until the UIC came along. Sh. Umal led the first prayers there in 16 years, God bless him! That was a very memorable day for me personally!

Mashallah didnt know sheik Umal led the first prayer there... I love sheik Umal for the sake of Allah, he comes down to my city all the time.. Do you know that sheik shareef Abdinur adviced the students of knowledge to take knowledge from sheik Umal, he praised him very much.. Aslo sheik Umal supports the UIC.
Very Happy

^Yeh, man. Sh. Umal is of a dying breed. He is the ONLY Somali scholar with the most expertise in Fiqh (Islamic Jurispurudence), no one else even comes close. He has a lot of enemies, though. May Allah protect him, ameen.

Yes his a dying breed but god knows best about him having the most expertise in figh, there are scholars like sheik shareef abdinur who have been teaching before sheik Umal was even born... He is knowledgeable though..

Alchemist,

Every scholar has his expertise in certain areas e.g. Sh Omar Farooq is an expert in Tafsiirka Qur'aanka, Sh. Shariif Abdi Nur is an expert in Axkaamta, while Sh. Umal is an expert in Fiqh. Allahu Aclam though.

Where is your city?
