Somaliland declared this town one of their new districts, but I can't find it or any reference to it. There's a town of the same name in Mudug, in Maakhir, in Sudan and of course the capital of Tanzania. Sure is a popular name.
Maroodi Jeex is another gobol name for Waqooyie Galbeed, some people even refer to the gobol as just Hargeysa " . gobol = state in somaalii

Hey thanks The official list of districts from the Somaliland govt. lists it as a district (class D) of Hargeisa gobol, so it must be in there somewhere...
