1. ICU should have never advanced on Baidoa. They shouldnt have shown the Transitional Government any hostility, Infact they should have joined the government as a junior partner and pretend to support the FTG. They have never been politically tactful anyway.

2. Greater Somalia - Claiming parts of kenya, ethiopia and reuniting with somaliland and djibuti was a distant dream. This was the most foolish claim the ICU made because they directly threatened Kenya and ethiopia yet they had no real military might.

3. After their defeat by Ethiopia the ICU should have announced defeat, dissapear underground and then re-emerge with a totally different name, they should stop using islam or mentioning the word muslim as a basis of their struggle.

Alternatively...the ICU Insurgents should take their war to Ethiopia. They can secretly join the ranks of ONLF and the OLF and take their war directly to ethiopia, that way the ethiopians will withdraw from Somalia to fight their own insurgents.

4. ICU Meeting in Eritrea - This meeting should have been conducted in secret.

Conclusion: The islamists cannot and will not defeat 90,000 woyane troops in Somalia. Their best option would be to cross the border into Ethiopia and fight a guerilla war. The ICU will never win another battle in Somalia.

Never say never! The tides can easily turn around for the Courts, afterall this is Somalia we're talking about.

in my humble opinion, the courts are over and done with. the war againt terror is real and the US will never allow it.

Those stupid towel heads should stay away from Somali politics!. They should be going to political schools and learn how to run a country in 21 century--Not what they have read from some history books(sura al nabawiyah).

True, but then at leasat TFG has open and clear system. There is constituitions and parliament system. Individuals might not enough qualifications but then the rules of games are not mystery here. No one here is saying let's travel back in time.

On the other hand, do you have any idea what kind of government that IUC wanted to establish Somalia?.

All I know is they were saying Sharia is the law of the land. And they were even burning watching soccer!.

never. they're finished abti. i saw one of their members working at the local mcdonalds last week...he told me it was xaraam to have fries with that. Then i told him i was late for a soccer game and we almost came to blows
