Somaliland needs a Somali government in place for their recognition

its unlikely some outside countries will recognize them

hell, not even Ethiopia recognizes it

so its in the interests of Somaliland to help create a Somalia Government for their sucession

Thats not the same though

there are countries that have Western Sahara as recognized with their embassies

but that doesn't mean anything

The country it is seperating from has to agree to it I believe. Somalia would have to recognize Somaliland's independence.

somaliland should be given the financial, military and political resources and responsibility by the AU, EU, US and UN to lead reconciliation in the whole of somalia. The capital of somalia should be moved to Somaliland, and the somaliland president should be declared President of the whole of somalia
