But, Obviously you see things from the prism of clan or whoever is the head of Somali governments means one tribe should run the show $ everything about Somali government. This is really the devastating effect of our fuked up primordialism. You can convince yourself that MJ is undermining the hegemony of Habargidir when in fact there is no unity within the Habargidir. Makhir have a strong basis of survival because its people are truly united, have long history of political organization, and great many numbers of human and material resources. It is a bitter pill for you to swallow but it is true that is why Warsanglei are so resilient and powerful tribe over many years.

I do find it interesting that Puntland has condemned Maakhir State, but Somaliland has not mentioned it, aside from taking credit for their successes against charcoal traders.
I think Somaliland has more to gain by supporting Maakhir than opposing it, since a friendly Maakhir shifts the delicate balance of power in the north in their favor. Especially considering the fact that the Dulbahante sway with the Warsangeli, and Sool is the critical theatre here.

Lug Gana ne, the port project is doing ok so far so good but the implementing organization is first exhausting the effort of the community to man up the resources needed for its contruction. If nothing fruitful comes up, then the organization will try SomaliWayn support.
