Blair, take it easy son. Whatever you are, this is now a way to engender name calling and distrust between two sophisticated groups. Very Happy

Somali2003 save the act for someone who'll fall for it. It was like yesterday when you were claiming that my clan ( Majerteen) weren't Darood, but that we were actually offspring of an Ethiopian hooker. Stop flip-flopping. Arrow
James, that was what Weinstein was saying in his latest article that Dhullos will follow the footsteps of Maakhir. I hope not because the people of Sool need an outlet to the sea to self-sustain and support locally based adminstration. If not, it is likely that Dhullos would support our endeavor and from there launch a new USP umbrella organization.
It's quite possible that Dulbahante could join Maakhir, since Warsangeli and Dulbahante live together in so many communities and have close historical ties. Also this would benefit both groups as Maakhir would gain access to Ethiopia's main highway network via Buhoodle just as much as the Dulbahante would gain access to the Red Sea.

It would also seperate Somaliland and Puntland from each other, so those two could finally stop spending 90% of their budget on the army and actually build some infrastructure.

They need to capture there two towns of Eirgavo and Bosaso.. It's only right plus all the revenue of Makhiir Stare will multiply by 2 million percent from the 2500 dollar budget currently available Laughing Laughing

Unclebin, keep putting Erigavo and Bosaso in the same shoes. Erigavo is more Warsangeli town than Bosaaso and I will choose Erigavo over that scorching city any day. But this does not mean that Bosaso isn't my town or territory. Only a fool and a self-denying outsider from Mudug would question that.

James, you are absolutely right. The two tribes have lived together and traded from each for over centuries. It is also true that these two tribes are the only ones among Darood that sacrificed their lives and resources for the unity of Somalia as well as the unity of Daarood , the division of which would have placed the latter in a minority position. Even in the 60s, the SYL was dominated by Hawiye. Italians favored the Hawiye leaders over the Majerteens. It wasn't until the incorporation of USP with SYL which made the fundamental shift and tipped the balance in favor of Darood.

^ Actually what tip Majerteens were apart of the SYL more then any other Somali clan. Out of the 13 SYL member 3-4 were Majerteen.

It also happens that Majerteen were the in laws of Aden Cadde and we used and abused the old fellow... we took over the Secretary General, Interior Ministry, Police Chief (was independent because Gen Abshir was the most qualified officer according to the italians) and a host of other positions....Oh and yeah the PRIME MINISTER POSITION Laughing

Now tell me powerful warsangeli Ministers that helped majerteen out?

I guess you also produced Abdullahi yusuf too eh?

Second of all Eirgavo's airport anf Bosaso port and Airport are generating tens of millions. In "dusty" bosaso the towns taxation is down right disgusting.... why not take reins of this town? Why dislude this town... Even Galmudug claims Galkacyo... why not claim Bosaso .... TAKE IT MY FRIEND... IT IS YOUR DESTINY Laughing

Don't force me into teaching you the history of SYL before the USP were incorporated into it.

Whatever $$ that Bosaso generates is up for grabs by few corrupt leaders. Neither does it help your kinsmen nor mine. The money is either kept at Abdilahi Yusuf's disposal who then uses it to bribe few rogue Hawiye leaders or spend it however he likes. The rest goes into pockets of goofy Ade. Wasn't it on the news that Adde was defrauded of $3M by a Yeminite businessman? Nin la iska dhaci karo ayaa dekedaas jooga. However, I earn my share of the port's revenue however undeserved that may be. I run industries and other major business that guarantees me an extremely above-average ROI instead of bickering over something trivial.

Don't blindly support a rogue leader, demand you rights saxib. If I were MJ, that is what I would have done.
