Whenever I see Iidoors post pseudo maps and numbers from the Civicweb, I always remember Ducaale's thread discrediting it with hard proof.
Tribal composition of Somalis were subject to lots of enquiries by the commision of enquiry on the Legislative Council , Hargeisa. They finally decided to label the proportion of Isaq population in British Somaliland as UNOFFICIAL.

But then have you wondered what the pseudo experts and organizations with hidden motive of Somalia's tribal composition had written and purported to be true as the percentage of tribal composition in Somalia?
Major clans whose numbers were deflated include Warsangali and Dolbahante because the Council's office was in Hargeisa whereas the Dir clans in the North got their numbers inflated to an unreasonable ratio. In the link below, an excerpt from the book of "Somali Nationalism", the author questions why would a clan that has a relative weight and political influence in certain territories bound to accept a unitary state? He points to both Hawiye and Isaaq as one who were disadvantaged by the unity. Any way, under the terms of unification, a tentative agreement was reached on these numbers.

Here you have a table, which is similar to what you have already seen and known from every secessionist website. However, to aid your understanding, i will explain the numbers in the table in mathematical terms how the high percentage of Isaaq in comparison to Daarood came to be, and at the footnote of the page, you will find a small statement that disqualifies that population ratio in British Somaliland.

I hope you guys took some elementary Statistics. Any way, What you have in the table is three national categories: Somalia(Italian), British Somaliland, and Somali Republic. The Somali Republic was formed out of the two colonies. Aight.

Since the Somalis in the south or Somalia are considered to be larger than the north, what you have to do is multiply the ratio on the left by 2 and add any ratio that is on the right(British Somaliland), then divide by 3. The reason you divide them by three is to average out.

One clan might NOT be represented, population wise, in the south like Isaaq, and in the north like Hawiye, so simply, multiply 2 by the # on the left even if it is 0 and add back the number on the right--British Somaliland, then divide by 3 , to arrive at the ratio on the far right, which is the SOMALI REPUBLIC. ex, Southern Daarood constitute 22% in Somalia a.k.a Italian Somalia, so 22 x 2 = 44 + 19(Darod in the North) = 63 . Then 63/3 = 21. And so and so on.

The current ratio you see today is 20 and 25 for the both Hawiye and Daarod respectively, but it was 21 and 24, so one 1 point was taken from Daarod and added to Hawiye due to probably external assessment.
Isaaq is part of the Dir confederation. In this link, you will have reputable sources showing Isaq being under Dir.

Lafo LAfo's map is not one of clan composition but what parts of Somalia where controlled by what armed faction at that specific time.

Erigabo was controlled by USP. It doesn't make any sense that it was controled by SNM. Haven't you read the document which states how brutal the armed clashes were between the two groups. IIdoors bring it as a strong case for secession. Someone posted on Somalinet a while go.

It also says Bardhere and half of Gedo was controlled by USC and then from Gaalkacyo to Beled-Weyne and deep as close to the sea borders of Eastern Somalia were controlled by the SNF.

I would love to know exactly what moment this map was drafted.
