Let us promote security , not insecurity. No one will win this war within Darod. I agree diplamacy should work as the best form of solution, not resorting to voilence. Thus, and So far, Marehan has the upper hands and has shown how resolute and determined they are in defending a city they deem essential for the political and economic survival of their clan. What is missing here is the lack of engagement by the Marehan elites with the Harti and Absame and Tanade. Make yourself available for an open discussion for the future of the city, not coopting insignficant non-Darod clans. This unilateral action would not solve the problem and you will always live in fear and self-defense.

Somali2003, an agreement was made in Xamar and stictly Darood conference is to be convened October 27. However right after that, a couple of more Marehan businessmen in Nairobi were arrested by AY's urging. How is that gonna help? Anyway we'll see what comes out of this conference October 27.

Abdullahi Yussef is very old, and the ethiopian army cannot stay forever, and somalis are quick to solve things by war, so let us hope we come to our senses and live in peace with each other.

Since no one clan can ever hold onto power forever, look at the tiny ceyr who managed to hold Muqdisho captive for so long, they now vaded, so neither weapons nor number can ever guarantee you victory, if that was so, then America who has unlimited supply of weapons and men power would have won in Iraq, vietnam or even in dusty muqadishu.

The future of Tourist Dollars will be from Rich Arab Countries and Asian muslims who are now frequently looking for nice places to relax and take their children.

I suggest Kismaayo beach, with it's white sandy beaches, cool temperatures, and lush coconut trees,
few million dollars invested in Kismaayo and adjacent islands can result in millions of dollars of profit for the local people and the somali economy, plus they are muslim tourists with families so you are also making sure your people are not being influenced my immoral people.
