Walahi dumarku waa sheydhamiin. I’m talking about the ones who are attracted to unavailable men. Albeit they may not want to pursue a relationship with such a dude but I’m talking about how his appeal somehow increases the minute they find out he’s taken, suddenly they see him with different perspective. Balaayo idinku dacdey. Evil or Very Mad

And before anyone relates this scenario back to me……don’t even think about it, Laughing Very Happy I ain’t in such situation alxamdulilah, but to my surprise someone very close to me has had experience with this and I’m so disgusted at her.
Zulaika,

Some Xalimos are just persistent. I remember one instance when I told this Xalimo who was giving off stalker vibes that I was not interested in seeing her by using the old excuse, "I am reconciling with my ex-girlfriend of 3 years"

She said that was cool & wanted to know when I would want to go out again.

That being said, I never go to a Somali function without a female escort. Something about coming in with a Xalimo that drives the chicks towards you. My favorite escort is my best friend of over 20 years since we met in kindergarten and she does her thang & I do my own.

i guess its different for girls, coz when she's seen with a dude...u know how somalis will talk. i never rolled like that unless i'm going to a place where i know i don't want to attract farax attention...then i don't give a speck what they say. Laughing

Zulaika,

My friend and I are tight. I am so accepted to be seen with her that I am treated just like another member of the family. Her mom only lets her out if she knows she will be rolling with me Laughing

There must be something in the female psyche that internally rationalizes that a man who is taken is a man worth chasing... it's like they convince themselves they can do better than his present woman. Talk about competition over scarce resources.
