Horta Xawadle made my list, lakin I don't know why they don't give Marehan some credit. Wallahi I've even heard so many stories of some Xawadle preparing in Cabudwaq to take back Beledweyn after Caydid captured it. Allahu caclam about Marehan capturing Beledweyne, lakin Marehan were fightin in Hiiraan and very, very close to Beledweyn NO doubt about it. Beled Haun iyo Beletweyne maxaa u dhaxayo?

Reuters 9 May, 1993:

//The last clan battle in Belet Huen was in January, a week after the Canadians stormed the sand-swept town. Thirty people were killed in the battle between forces of the Habre Gedir and Marehan clans.//

Reuters, 19 January, 1993:

//But rival Habre Gedir and Marehan clan forces fought a fierce battle a week ago at a village 80 km (50 miles) to the north of Belet-Uen and 30 people were reported killed.

"We were told they used armoured vehicles, technicals and mortars," Mathieu said, adding that he had sent 20 armoured cars to patrol the Ethiopian border and prevent more fighting. //
warya luq i neva heard those stories the war happened 1996 if it was the way u said then its an honor sxb and i guess it was the enemy of my enemy is ma fren Cool but surely we freed beletweyn by ourselves may be it was the logistic help of our sade brothers in caabudwaaq and thnx for giving me some clue i will do some diggin inshallah and come back to u
Somali2003 Luq Ganane,
Are you Sure we Scare from Sacads? Last time i checked, Sacads held the entire Gedo for freaking 2 months and even started opening military camps in Gedo. You lucky Abgaal broke their back otherwise you'd have a lot of half Sacad kids; more than what you already have.
Those same Sacad and USC at large were chased away from Galkacyo in hours by MR armies in hours. You shoud be thanking MR, as who knows how many of your relatives lives were saved by the legendary Gen Cabdicasis Abdi Barre and his Marehan force from Woqoyi. As for the USC in Gedo, Caydid (aun) and his USC unit ran out of there like a bat out of hell leaving behind his friend and #2 general of the USC, col Shabel (aun). After the MR armies regrouped after disarray and came back. Soldiers and Marehan militairy familes were looking for their relatives, loved ones, kids etc. Once we regrouped, Somalia idil knows how we whupped azz from Mudug, to Waamo and everywhere inbetween. However how unfortuante after having 1,300 of your kinsmen slaughtered in Galkacyo in ONE morning, those same Sacads are walking the streets of Galkacyo with pride. All you can do is resort to shelling miskin Warsengeli homes in Bossaso after getting fcked all over Somalia. Dhuli foqal Dhuli. Laughing Laughing

Alchemist, Wallahi I'm not happy about it because I dislike HG or something. Lakin the fact is Hiiraan=Xawadle land. Its their land and they defended it, like niman rag. Welibo they did it pretty much on their own.

I know sxb, your of the few here who dont take things too serious... Also im not too big to admit the truth, wrong is wrong and at the time HG militia were wrong. My father always says two tribes need to be stopped for somalia to move ahead, Majerteen and Habargidir lol.....
