They migrated from there when the small port in LaasQorey depreciated beyond repair and in coincidence with the construction of Bosaso port in the late 80s by the Somali government.

Why do you think Puntland is so opposed to the construction of Lasqorey Port. Not only will it become a rival competitor for Bosaso but it will attract its natives from Bosaso to come and revive the city as it used to be in the early 80s.

I don't like blood to be spilt in either Sanaag or Bari but the actions of Puntland are intolerable . Walaahi If war breaks out in the region, peace and the progress in the region will be seriously jeapordized and we will be locked in power struggle and constant killings and destruction of properties. Very unreasonable strategy for Adde to initiate war with Warsangeli whose strength are concentrated within and the surroundings of Bosaso.
