Mad, You leave out the fact that less than 3% somalis are fighting the Ethiopians from Ogadenia to Muqdisho. These are wars of attrition and not a war between two armies, so the number of Ethiopian casualities is significant anywhere. Ethiopians don't stand a chance against a somali army who is trained and even moderately equipped. The ill-equipped somalis who responded to the call of war from around the world and who went to iidaale/Baydhabo area proved history right. Xabashis with their American training and support couldn't advance a single kilometer for days on end before they resorted to severe Aerial bombardment. Many Ethiopian soldiers were slaughtered in the field unwept.

This is not a war being waged by all somalis. Majority of Somalis under the leadership of Ethiopian stooges are staying on the sidelines. Read this forum, you can see the somali psyche and how it is damaged by clan hatred and devisions. With no honourable voice uniting them, and people in the clan fiefdoms of Somaliland and Puntland threatened with arrest and extradtition to Ethiopia if they show any inclination of support for those fighting the Ethiopians, you are left with few somalis fighting the good war when they can and wherever they can. Without these minorities bloodying the Ethiopians whenever and wherever they can, Somalia's annexation as the Sixth region with heads of clan fiefdoms representing the Xabashi Kingdom would be complete. It is already in the process and Ethiopia rules vast land of Somalia by proxy, from Hargeysa to Kismayo. History will remember the brave insurgents as men who stood for somali honour in a time their country was sold and their people weakened by clan hatred and devisions.

Just look at the forum.
Well said Gamadid
