A/Wahab, MJ Pride, Alchemist Laughing

The delusion in this thread is PRIMETIME comedy Wallahi. Just bring Somaliweyn here and it'll be a party Laughing Laughing Laughing

Awahab, First off I asked several people (HG, MJ, MR) about this mysterious "Gelinsoor" story as I never heard anything like that in my life after only hearing it from you, and they all looked at me like an idiot. They told me there were barely any Marehan in Mudug/Galgudud after the kacaan to begin with, as they all went to Mogadishu. Cabdudwaq/Balanbale were repopulated after the war but the majority went to Gedo (Bardhere growing 4x larger) A/Wahab I know it pains you, but Marehan royalty of 21 years were not sharing desolate desert huts in the middle of nowhere with Dacas or any other Madackaris for that matter, but were in Xamar lounging in your aforementioned "Booli Qaran" while the most you guys could do was work odd jobs as my "droval" or any other low class, menial work (If you were lucky enough to be in Xamar in the first place). Laughing Lakin considering where Dacas (footsoldiers) or Madackaris are today (Eating trash, paying rent for shade) , I almost wish Marehans lived in Gelinsoor, and were kicked out to make you happy, but the truth is always better up Laughing Laughing

As for MJ Pride he said "MSB collaborated with Mengistu to attack and bring an end to the SSDF, and thats how they were defeated". Absolutely nothing to say here. Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

The difference between I and all of you is I can bring authentic, recorded news from respected media outlets talking about what I said while you guys have Ayeeyo's bedtime caano iyo shah stories. Laughing

While it seems everyone in this thread is living their fantasy know we're not equal because I have evidence. Laughing Laughing

"Somalis say that Aideed, whose Habre Gedir militias have suffered several bitter defeats at the hands of the rival Marehan clan in recent weeks in the central regions, has left Mogadishu to personally lead counterattacks.

The town of Belet Huen on the Ethiopian frontier has been captured by the joint Marehan and Hawadle forces, who had lost it to Aideed's forces while the United Nations was still in Somalia last year.

The Habre Gedir have also come under bitter attacks from the Marehan around the remote central town of Dusa Mareb, Somali travellers say." [1]

AFP, January 20, 1993 writes:

"Beledweyne (Belet Uen): 19th January: Forces loyal to ousted Somali dictator Muhammad Siyad Barreh launched an attack north-west of Beledweyne, leaving about 25 dead, according to reports reaching this central Somalia town. The attack by the Somali National Front came near the small town of Matabaan about a week ago, according to Matabaan townsfolk who have deployed mines around it for their defence. Some reports put the death toll up to 30.

SNF Fighting in Mudug (Galkacyo) Laughing Laughing

"The main front line in the ongoing, low-level war in central Somalia is the town of Gaalkacyo. The home town of Somalia's premier warlord, Mohamed Farah Aideed, it is in the hands of a rival warlord, who is the military leader of the Marehan faction recently loyal to ousted dictator Mohamed Siad Barre. The Marehan militia calls itself the Somali National Front and is commanded by Mohamed Said Hersi Morgan, Siad Barre's son-in-law and a former defense minister under him. Aideed's United Somali Congress militia and Morgan's force engage in periodic skirmishes around Gaalkacyo - facing off with tanks and artillery in hit-and-run grabs for territory.

For Aideed, this battle is personal. The central region is the traditional area of his Habr Gedir faction, and he is fighting to reclaim territory he sees as rightfully his. For the Marehan, the battle is over survival. Members of the faction fear a victorious Aideed would continue to sweep north into their traditional territory, and they are trying to hold the line at Gaalkacyo.

According to Canadian military intelligence officers, who have made several reconnaissance missions into the area and who maintain contact with the local warlords, Morgan's Somali National Front is believed to have about 1,000 regulars and can draw on an additional 5,000 fighters from the Marehan. The standing force is equipped with more than a dozen tanks, six armored personnel carriers, 32 technicals and several antitank guns and artillery pieces, the Canadian sources said." [1]

Why is it that the AFP, Reuters, Washington post are providing exlusive coverage of SNF Marehan in the civil war? Because they were the group that made sure Caydid (aun) stayed confined to Xamar whether it was kicking hiim out of Hiiraan, Mudug, Kismayo putting a nail into his presidency hopes (not being able to take over the country). Anyway sorry to bust your fantasies lakin I'll let you guys carry on unmolested.

You know the funniest thing? MJ Pride (Majerten) getting reassurance from two Iljeexs, the same one that cleaned out 1,300 of his kinsmen in Galkacyo in ONE Morning. Maybe its a MJ (Cumar Mahmud think Abdullahi Yusuf) to lick the balls of your enemies after they F you. down Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

Anyway one of the most pitiful Somalinet phenemenons is when you bring documented evidence and you get back Ayeeyo's stories. I can tell none of you guys went to school because you cannot provide evidences. Laughing Laughing

Sxb there is a big difference between couple of skirmishes and the final victory.. All those reports are nothing more than small battles which Aideed himself wasnt even part of but militias loyal to him... Anyone can win a battle but Aideed won the war, to be honest Aideed beat ever single tribe... Also all those battles Aideed was on the offensive trying to capture other cities while the rest of Somalia were on the defensive.. Yes Xawadle were able to kick habargidiir out of Hiiraan but they endured more hardship because the battles happened in their lands.. And the Merehan were just upset of being chased and Gedo being captured by USc. In the end Aideed died in Xamar, the capital city of Somalia where he kicked out Sayyid Barre.. While Sayid Barre died in Nigeria(AUN)...

Im not gonna over praise Aideed(AUN) but the truth is known to all somalis sxb no matter what you claim...

Are Hiiraan, Galkacyo, Kismayo, Marehan degans, yet Marehan were on the defenseive? Laughing

Apparantly reading is difficult for you but I'll bring it again:

Reuters (1995) writes about this event:

"Somalis say that Aideed, whose Habre Gedir militias have suffered several bitter defeats at the hands of the rival Marehan clan in recent weeks in the central regions, has left Mogadishu to personally lead counterattacks.

Sxb, I'll give you Xamar. SNM (The most effective movement I must admit) SPM coming from Kismayo and USC coming from the West were too much for Xamar to be defended. Lakin Marehan SNF won all the other battles both by on the ground witnesses (Ask any Somali Oday) and in recorded news pieces. Bring something real sxb. Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

Also the old man Caydid (aun)died in a street alley in Xamar like a 14 year old Oakland drug peddler after being gunned down after a isbaaro revenue dispute. Laughing Whats worse he died when his own cousins put bullets in him. Sad

And like Abdullahi Yusuf's going to, he died not being able to attain his dream of presidency for even one night. Laughing

Alchemist, these were case in point articles that proved what I said about Marehan fronts in Hiiraan, Mudug etc. after Marehan reorginized and formed SNF. Also you google "HG" you'll find nothing but reports of piracy, isbaaro and other Mooryan behavior. Find something to back up your claim like I did. Laughing If it wasn't that I was dealing with people that knew nothing about the civil war I wouldn't even have to bring evidence, but considering I always back up my claims, and you guys know nothing about the war I did. Lakin if you're really Saleban go ask your Parents or Grandparents if what I said was true. I'm not lying sxb. Laughing Laughing

AW&Alchemist,

do not waste time into fairytales.

These are the ones that say SNF Liberated Beledweyne, Galkacyo, Baidoba etc etc. Laughing

The only fighting that Galgaduud and Mudug witnessed was the Galkacyo saga. Besides that it was pastoral fights, the one he mentions of fighting in Matabaan (village on the border with Galgaduud) etc was between Marehan nomads and Ceyr nomads, which was blown out as SNF vs USC-SNA. Get your facts straight.

---

As for the topic, as the best Somali movement I would nominate SNF. Great accomplishments:

-created while fleeing in a tank from Mogadishu
-Aim: Restoring the dictatorship back in Mogadishu

Course of war:

-2 times failed at restoring the dictatorship, rolled back as far as Kenya,
-the dictator they wanted to restore flee from Horn of Africa,
-Gedo province occupied for 8 months
-SNF retakes Gedo, and gives up any hope of even coming near Lower Shabelle, let alone Mogadishu.
-Around 96, SNF becomes the ally (read: puppet) of EThiopia, killing own patriotic wadaado of the Al Atixiaad, just because the leader of the group happened to be Aweys (HG).

An ironic legacy, considering the fact that the whole movement was created to restore the dictatorship and gradually evolved into an obscure movements in the periphery of Somalia who has become Ethiopian agent in the region.

Laughing Laughing @ SomaliWeyn

Luq,

The Marexan failed to fight for Siyaad barre when it counted Jan. 1991. They fled faster than AbdiBile Laughing

To lose the prize, Xamar and to boast of attacking unarmed villagers is laughable Laughing

Luq,you are telling 'nice' adventures of your SNF. But the fact remains: if they were really stronger than USC,why did they fail to re-organize themselves and start final offensive attack on the USC located in Xamar? This way, they could start their new dynasty of anti-islamism(maybe their new president will change the Adhaan to somali)
Those who conquer Xamar were victorius.
