And entered Sool and crushed any potential remnants there after they conquered Garowe and Galkacyo

SNM vs USC perhaps USC would win if they managed to rally the remnants of harti and marexan as hired soldiers for them plus their regular army .

It was SNM themselves that provided Caydiid all those weapons in the South.

The USC won Galkacyo at the end of the day.

If the USC had additionally captured Bosaso, it would have been game over for Darood as a whole.

SNM did not aggressively deal with its Darood enemies like the USC. It adopted them and allowed them 7 years of peace before they become part of Beentaland. But if the SNM had moved in and karbashed the Darood and made their way to Bari, there would have been no Beentaland

So USC vs. SNM, I say the SNM won for itself and for its people. USC won only to lose what it had won.

Majerteenia was in dire need of military assistance from Marexan against USC wich would have destroyed them completely .
So its in the interest of Marexan to do something so they wont become the next target for USC .
In this scenario Marexan and Majerteen lost .

And honestly whats Harti without Majerteens ?

lets say both have been preparing for long time after USC won the great Mudug war and conquered the rest .

The USC advance was stopped at Galkacyo by SNF. If he succeeded in Galkacyo he would have went furthur up North and Nugaal and Bari would fall. I think his plan after that was to ally with Issaqs and rule the country. Luckilly the advance was stopped in Galkacyo and the other areas in Somalia that the USC captured were taken by SNF. I guess it was Allahs will that Somalia didn't end up being ruled by USC with Caydid as president. We'll take the anarchy.

With the Govt. collapsing, everything was in flux and nobody knew what was happening or what to expect........so don't look at transient effects. Look at steady state.

Look at what happened once everybody regrouped.

No one defeated the USC but themselves.

They had no political vision at all, Caydiid had, but that stup1d Ali Mahdi focked the game and look at him licking darood boots again. What an ass.
