Lafoole ambush on Ethiopians 2007

Postby Somaliweyn » Wed Nov 07, 2007 5:17 am

Yesterday was when the convoy of Ethiopian troops was hit by a roadside bomb in Lafoole. A military truck was burned down, and the Ethiopians closed the scene immediately. The well-known tactic of hiding how many casualties have been inflicted.

From credible sources, it becomes clear that at least 20 Ethiopians have been killed, with many wounded.

This also explains why they conduct search operations today on the road between Afgoye and Mogadishu.

One truck or two trucks ciidan waxba uma noqdo unless one truck is burned down every other hour.

Go to youtube and have look at the Chechyans and how they defeated the Soviets with basically the same armoury as those that the Shabaab have access to. It all comes down to bravery and brains. I don't know about bravery but I can say there is a shortage of men with military knowhow on the Shabaab side.

Kun-dile,

Military knowledge follows after long experience. Chechens have been under occupation for decades.

Ethiopia is merely occupying Somalia for months, and I am sure they will be ousted within a few years.

I agree with you, the resistance group in Somalia can do more. For example, they should move the war to the interior and target the suplly lines of the Ethiopians. If only they could burn down many ural trucks they could cripple the movements of Ethiopians.
