The date it was written was 1977 and we all know how the corruption in the department of Somali academic of arts and science was rampant, so it is not surprising that the unkown Harvel Sebastian relied on the input of Somalis at this department.

How else can you explain that this is the only reference of Imam Nur to a Somali clan, not to forget the full name.

If one looks at the refernce list of Harvel Sebastian it becomes unclear as to how he came to the notion that Ibn Nur was Marehan...which only shows that he had to rely on the input of Somalis at the department/government.
