AW & GB,

As someone who was previously married my only advice to you both is:

-Do your homework before you choose a wife.

-Make sure she practices Islam if you plan on her someday being a mother to your kids.

-Don't expect too much or else you will be extremely disappointed.

-Always be open-minded to her ideas.

-Don't have any kids until the first 2-4 years of your marriage has passed.

-Keep it real.

Aw252,

Yeah, and I'll be chillin w/ a traditional wife, nice apartment, Flat Screen LCD surround sound, nice furniture.....I'll get my meals, nice smelling house w/ uunsi, she'll be wearing a nice dirac w/ Victoria's Secret satin undergarments........she'll do her college classes and come home waiting for GB to come back from to 'put it down'

I'll teach her English, she'll teach me Somali Cool

And your wife will be 'hanging out w/ the girls at the shiisha joint' asking you to start dinner b/c she's running late Laughing

^Yh, I remember seeing that episode. Women love men who mean business, show uncertainty and they will take that as a sign of weakness.

^^^ There's no winning sxb....be too certain of everything and she'll say: "You're not compromising"

Be too relaxed and she'll think you're a wus....

Since I'm very laid back by nature, I'd agree to compromise but if I see she starts taking advantage of it then it would be time to put the foot down Cool

A/Wahab,

On a serious note though, do what you want now but when it comes time for marriage stay away from Reer Love Fridays, Liquid Wednesdays, H20 Saturdays and Oasis, Babalon, Build America Plaza rest of the night chicks. You seem to be eying those kind and that $40,000 wedding you throw will end up being a waste as your marriage will be a 6 month disaster. What you, I and everybody need to do is get yourself cleaned up (For Allahs sake ofcourse) and get a girl from Laurel Masjid or a traditional girl up
