The First Deputy Speaker of Somalia's transitional federal parliament, Prof. Mohamed Omar Dalha, abruptly ended a brief visit the president's home in the southwestern town of Baidoa on Tuesday after security forces threatened him, officials said.
Prof. Dalha is currently the acting president, since both President Abdullahi Yusuf and Speaker Sheikh Adan "Madobe" Mohamed are on trips abroad.

Mohamed Osman Maye, a member of parliament, confirmed to Garowe Online that Deputy Speaker Dalha was threatened by a senior commander at President Yusuf's home.
The commander "used a pistol" to threaten the senior parliament official, according to MP Maye.
Prof. Dalha left the president's home and found refuge at the home of Speaker Adan Madobe, the lawmaker added.
Emerging reports state that Prof. Dalha has confirmed the incident but declined to give further details. The deputy Speaker is expected to hold a press conference soon.
