Will you ever look at America in the same way again after these last eight years of bUsh administration?

Hell, I look at my neighbors differently now...

As muslim, I wonder how many of them support the bUsh's crusade in the Middle East. I also wonder how many of them are spying on me...and how many times the feds look into my personal affairs?

Do you not see that an arrogant and Machivellian leader can indeed get the majority of America to follow him down the path of X-tian crusade? And that the checks and balances set up by our Constitution aren't worth the paper they are written on?

Yes. He made some of us a little bit richer. You know, take from the poor and give it to the rich folks.
But around the world, he made alot of countries to dislike America foreign policey.

America has great friendship and alliances with Muslim countries in the Middle East (Saudi Arabia, Jordan, etc). I doubt that America is after a religion, but an ideology and Arabs. Therefore, Arabs know they are the target and use Islam to deface the real objectives.

America brought you to this country to use their resources, we as Somalis should be only grateful for that deed, if not anything else.

Arabs who we share a religion with, kill our people when they visit their lands, but we protect them. Somalis do not know their enemy from their friend.

I find it ironic that certain individuals in this discussion (tsk...tsk) find Bush administration's policies towards the Middle East and Muslims disturbing, but on the other hand openly & proudly support the same administration's policies towards Somalia.

Pick a side, you can't claim to hate the neocons, while proudly cheering for their policies regarding Somalia.

Bush's policies towards Somalia (although it is not in the same basis as the Middle East) is actually effective.

Its effective? In what context? You can't just claim something and not back it up with substantial material.

Even they are admitting what a poor lapse of judgement it was to support the same warlords who have pillaged Somalia and are looking for anyway out, so how can it be called effective?

"Morgan Stanley issues full US recession alert"

Last Updated: 2:17am GMT 13/12/2007

Morgan Stanley has issued a full recession alert for the US economy, warning of a sharp slowdown in business investment and a "perfect storm" for consumers as the housing slump spreads.

Alluring,

One way we have to change ME is to get rid off the dictators.... they are the ones that are getting the financial aid...Not I, I am US tax payer, not financial aid receiver, hence, I have every right to criticize where and how my taxes are being spent here in the US and outside just the same.

What warlords is it we are talking about? Somalis have contributed to the death of our nation, the hatred they have for one another, and their undying love for clanship.

Somalia has not been stable for the past 17 years, and when an individual wants to run for a political position which can help their country, people come out of the woodworks proclaiming falsities and embedding fake clanship ideologies. The TFG was established far before the ICU. If the ICU believed the core values of Islam, and brotherhood they would have let the TFG (even if they felt were corrupt) run its course, without starting civil clashes in regions and threatening neighboring countries.

Lugooyo,

My support of US policy toward East Africa has nothing to do with Bush and his foreign policy…it has to do with preventing terrorists using the Horn and Somalia as terror launching pad.

I will support any elected Somali official who want to work toward peace and prosperity in Somalia, regardless of tribal affiliation.

If you really believe that the ICU or the Shabaab terrorist group is sailing along swell killing innocent Somalis daily, then you are only setting yourself up for a lot of heartbreak because they will never succeed.

But, as read your posts, you'd prefer 'honesty' to be off limits.
