Kenya is good for business but somalis are treated better in Ethiopia. Of course except for the Ogaden region.

somalis in these two countries suffer to some extent of qaxootinimo; however, somalis in kenya may have better life than those somalis in ethiopia... down

somalis get lynched, hanged and raped in ethiopia. in addition to that somalis are seen as outsiders and second class citizens in ethiopia. amhara and tigri will always look down upon a somali nomatter what...kenya is stil the best place for somalis period.

i have been to both so you can't tell me about it. Addis is nice and it is not comparable to Nairobi where on every corner you have bribe a crooked cop even with your passport. you can walk in the middle of the night in Addis and no one will even bother you.

what r u doing walking in the middle of the night???

having an ID if for your own safety, you shouldnt be walking in the middle of the night with no ID on you. what about ogaden's ethnic cleansing do you support at too, well at least there isnt no ethnic cleansing in kenya and somalis can vote in their own MPs

King-of-awadal, djibouti is too far away. a trip from kismaayo to djibouti city would take a month. Laughing to go there would mean going through puntland and somaliland and that is not very safe for most southerners. and don't even mention the heat. somalis can't get along. that is why we travel to far away lands to find safety from our own.

kingtuk......kenya is better than ethiopia many ways but in terms of safety, i like addis better than nairobi. it is a cleaner city too. by the way, are you somali? you don't sound like the average skinny.

Are you telling me u favour a bafoon rather than a somali. Laughing

QansaGabeyle: Well by invest meant i mean people who are able to afford flying not bringing their donkey with them. At the end of the day it will be much easier for a somali to fit in djbouti since we are the same people and we speak the same language though sometimes we have a hard time understanding each other.

how is djibouti in terms of business? can anyone just go there and start a business or do you have to bribe some people? what is the deal there. i don't really know much about djibouti and for some weird reason i have never in my life been interested in visiting, let alone living, anywhere in somalia above galkacyo. Confused i can't really explain why though. you probably feel the same away about the south.

King-of-Awdal, if it was a perfect world i'd fly straight to djibouti and invest there but reality tells me otherwise, i'm a somali nationalist, no time for qabil in my world.

Why would you open a business in a third world country where there is no institutional framework?

Those investments have no future. There is no business security.

What profit margins? Don't assume hypothetical statistics.
