Well lets wait for the Hawiya to come and answer this question, all i know is as a Dir we are all came from one man but because of us being too large today we stick to claiming only our immediate forefathers, imagine how long its gonna take me to reach Dir when i trace my lineage.LOL
Dir is an old clan and old clans are now all small.

All the clans that Geledi used to fight are tiny now.

Ajuraan
Silcis
Hintire
Muruule
Mobleen
Wadalaan
Mayle
Hillebi

When we used to fight these guys they weren't related to each other and were not Hawiye. In 1991 they all mysteriously and miraculously all became Hawiye. TALK ABOUT A CONFEDERATION.

I can count upto 17 in my abtiris and still don't reach Gobroon (My subclan of Geledi).

Wacdaan and Mobleen are bothers of Abgaal Cusman it is not new and nothing to do somali civil wars ... Shirib U should learn more about Hawiye and Dir and stop Adverts of Eelaay Wiikh !!!

Dir is the biggest Somali clan. Aduun Gadoon is near us.

Wacdaan never said they were Hawiye before the war. Thats the truth always stopped at Wacdaan, never even claimed Mudulood.
