It was in 2005 trust me, what the ethiopians did cant be worse than 15 years of war... A lot of parts of xamar are still untouched...

Trust me the city can not totally be all destroyed..

Xamar has the most population and most business men in all of somalia.. Even the bakara market that gets bombed everyday is still in business the following day.

My mom has been going to xamar for almost every year since 97.. My brother is there right now and i have cousins there, people there still do business..

ofcourse the Ethiopians disrubted a lot of things..

I dont know.. But here is the thing, do you believe 15 years of war did more damage to Xamar or the 1 year of Ethiopian occupation?

All i know is when i call Xamar and talk to my relatives they still happen to be in their homes..

I know what you mean b/c I still have relatives who live in Xamar throughout the whole civil war but all of them said that this was the worst & some decided to stay and others left. Most of them went to Madina.

Selective picture taking is what somalis are good at..... When I show people pictures of Galkacyo its some of the most best pictures I can find..... Otherwise the shitty parts of towns are never shown looool...
