I dont know how explain it for you but for a while ago i had problem with my internet connection and whenever i repar it my IP changed...is like naaima said.

If you hit

Start-->Run type 'cmd' in the prompt you will get to the black screen.


Type 'ipconfig' (it will show you your IP address)

Type 'ipconfig /release' (you will lose your IP address)


Type 'ipconfig /renew' (you will get back your IP address)

It might be different. Most of the time you get a DHCP lease for a certain amount of time so within that time period you will probably get the same IP address.

You sound like some IT support guy that i do speak to on the phone with all that IPconfig stuff

What I know is that if I want to get my IP address I go to google and type in my IP address and I though it was the same one

But then it can be different

Naiima,

call your service provider and ask them how long is the DHCP lease for your ip address. They will tell you and if you wait longer than that you will probably get a new IP address.

I use a powerful modem nayaa and it is work Computer I am talking about!!!

Everytime we have a problem with the server or something goes down I end up being the one calling the support department and they talk me through what to do on the phone. A nightmare walle I am like what do you mean by that!!!!!!!!

I then decided I need to get techy myself so enrolled on course called ComptiA

Lol I realised that what they were training for was to be a techinical support and sort people out when stuck. I was gone like a shooting star!!!!!!!!!
