how is Virgina and DC.
I spent 24 hours in DC once for a stopover, did all the touristy things,
but i wasnt impressed with it.

Virginia is boring. Northern VA is a suburban area for DC.
Maryland is a fine place, a true taste Americana: crime, drugs, etc.
