what is maakhir?

I have been reading this concept and word in somali net for a while but I failed to understand what it stands for,it's meaning and how I never heard when it came out and mised it,could some one explain,is it an arabic word.

cabdilaahi252, aka Midgaanboy, Maakhir consists of the regions of Sanaag and, southern Nugal, and Western Bari.

Gobdoon, you don't need to know what Maakhir is. What you need to learn is how to do Research. Might help you other topics.

We know its a a litte state in the North --but what does the word Makhiir stand for?
Is it Somali?
I can't understand what "Makhiir" means --its very weird! it rythems with Qamiir! lol!

they always used maakhir....the maakhir coast is the historic name for that area....
