Why do you have too make every thing into qabiil? Issaq elders? in case you failed too notice it these people are talking as Somalis not as Issaqs,or Daroods,or Hawiyes etc. Go pop a happy pill and come back when you feel less kuku.

So, so sad Wallahi. However keep in mind there are a variety of factors in this.

Factor number 1: The Black Hip Hop slave mentality that glorifies violence, drugs, 'tricking', which leades to death, jail and AIDS.

Factor number 2: The fact that Somalis in public housing getting settled in the projects. Obviously anybody living in that type of enviroment is already up against it from the get go. Alxamdurilah I never got in any scrapes coming up for the simple fact that I lived in good, clean White neighborhoods most of my life. I couldn't even get in trouble if I wanted to. Lately however some kids started coming to Virginia from Atalanta, Toronto, Ottowa etc. and started to act rowdy. Wallahi these fockers got locked up so fast, that there all either in jail, or were forced to run back to Somalia. The thing is the White clean neighborhoods ain't having that shid, and the arm of the Law will reach you if you act up. Therefore if a Somali man busts his but and moves his kids to a better neighborhood thats HALF the battle right there. For all the Somali families I know its hard but try to find a way to get your families out of that enviroment. Do what you have to do, but it will be worth it at the end.

Factor number 3: No male influence in the house so go figure, but I think factor number 2 is the biggest remedy. We gotta move out of the black neighborhoods, no offense.

Moving out of bad neighbohoods is definately a solution to this situation. No drugs, no lazi loosers. All you see is hard working people that pay tax and acheive things in their life. You will get inspired and will change you life without knowing!

Environment is everything!

When you're poor, you're gonna live in a poor neighborhood and somali's being refugee's are poor. Leaving the environment is not a viable solution, it's the UK government job to assist the poor and create jobs, organizations, etc for young people. And also help the older people with employment so they can afford to move away from dangerous neighborhoods.

The UK is known for it's racism and islamaphobia, so they should be held accountable for what's happening there when they completely ignore immigrants and refugee's. Lack of employment means your stuck in the poor neighborhoods, and if the government isn't willing to put effort into fixing those neighborhoods and helping youth, these kind of situations will be inevitable. That doesn't mean the somali people are blameless for not doing anything, but we have to be realistic and look at all angles.

Ican

You have a point but trust me it is down to the individual to look for that job and to turn their lives around. Waiting for the goverment to do something wont help

We need to let young people know know that if you have good education and compete like everyone else then you will achieve something.Jews and Asians were in that same situation 20 years ago but look around non of them live this is environment. Sir Alan Sugar was born in a council flat and look where he is today.

We need to think and act real quick. I am sure it wont be easy to tranform your life in one day but to accept how things are is a big mistake
