I don't know how you can teach SNM (moryan) history to the reer nuur in dilla?

SNM were freedom figther for only ISSAQ.

samarone have a different freedom fighther
issa have a different freedom figther
warsangali and dulhbhante have a different freedom fighter

Even the gaboyeeh does not concern them the SNM.

SO SNM HISTORY STAYS AT HOME AND THAT IS ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SNM history is Somaliland's history .
Anybody who fuc.ks with it , is thereby out!!

Djibsomali that would be the equivalent of asking the American people to alter theirs and take the founding fathers legacy out of the history books because they were slave masters.
History is just what it is , we don't rewrite it !!

it was never in awdal curriculum for the rigth reason!

How you gonna do it?

All somaliland currenculum has to be validated by the borama consortium.

It is one thing to teach in hargeisa and burco and it is an other to release across the whole country.

it is not who rules but common sense.

Yesterday igal was the president and the snm history never passed the border of hargeisa and burco.

Tommorow it migth be an other president from hargeisa or burco.
And it will never be teached in awdal, sool or sanaag.

So no matter who is the president SNM will only be a familly matter

I think its wrong to ban or " hide " away the legacy of SNM...
SNM has the right get its fair share of our young history.
Both good and bad ...
Yes it is true all clans had different " super movements "
and if we could instead include all movements
from USP , SNM , SDA .. Dhullo , Isaaq , Dir movement.
and tell the impact of their actions in a neutral way ..that would be much better.

There is no shame of being an SNM veteran.
However glorifieng the movement does not fit us.
We have moved on and should not rub SNM in the face of smaller clans in the region.

But you cannot forget history , you must learn from it.
So my opinion is that the ban was very stupid...

a reform would have been better in place

loooooooooool , Rayaale waa raggeedi . SNM history should be taught in Isaq households not educational textbooks and reading material.

SNM= for Isaqs, by Isaqs ONLY

i dont see whats wrong in teaching SNM history how it came about and as well as all the other different freedom fighters.

if not the whole history at least there should be something about the SNM that should be though.
