Since Somaliland came into existence, Hargeisa has become an important commercial centre
and its growing commercial activities are attracting other Ethiopian ethnic groups and Somalians from the south

I don't know about all these Ethopians and their aids my freind, somaliland should deport all the Ethopians out, why empoly a cheap ethopian labour when 99% of somalilanders are unemployed? why , import Ethopians vegies and fruits when the local once are avaliable, shouldn't we encourge our own farmers and local trade?

The somaliland ethopian border should be controled and higher taxses should be imposed on Ethopian goods, other wise the average somaliland farmers can't compete with them.

Ethopian immigrations should be curtailed, and southern somalis should also be accounted for , there where abouts and eaxctly what they are doing in somaliland.

Any time an all out war breaks between us and the Daarood in Buntland these darkies from the south will always cry.. somalia ha noolaato, meaning somaliland ha burburto..

I agree with you. Like Djibouti, Somaliland government should introduce national identity cards for Somalilanders

al muflix technologies is a somali owned(HJ) company in dubnai that has been
awarded the contract to provide a national ID card.

supposedly there will not be any elections till they get the job done.

i know them personaly and im pretty sure that it would be difficult to make the march deadline...

by the ways its a $20 million contract, paid for by the EU.

It shouldn't be very hard if they know what they are doing.

It is a simple proces actually. We need a finger-print database for each and every verified Somaliland citizen. To verify we need each person to go back to the original birth place for his subsubclan and present his Caaqil/Cheif Caaqil to testify that he is a member of the subclan.

Also, I think, in addition to finger prints and photo of the citizen on the National ID card we also need to have the details of their clan/subclan membership.
