Nobody kicked out Sh. Khaliif. I was there on the 1st day of Ramadan 2006 when he took the microphone and rather than deliver a Friday Khutbah said "The commitee have stopped me from spreading the word of Allah & the messenger (saw) and I quit from this forward!" That was the last day anyone saw Sh. Khaliif at Masjid Assunah. So, when was he fired?

Mustafa Handula who was an employee of the Masjid (secretary) was fired, because he broke the rules by ignoring the commitee and continuing to recruit for his cult and distributing audio tapes that insulted Muslim scholars including Sh. Umal, Shariif C/Nur, Cumar Faarooq, etc. Mustafa Handula refused to give up his position and the comittee went to the local county office and issued a restraining order, when he broke it, the cops came for him.

Islam is a religion of Mercy and order. What koronto and his groups are following is an extreme path that would lead them to destruction. When you give them evidene from the kitab of ALlah and Sunnah of the messenger(saw) they begin to insult and for koronto's case he says "stop misquoting". Akhi the way of the Salaf never called to the killing of the innocent, suicide, destruction, separating into groups and division, going against the Ruler,calling muslims kaffirs, etc. What my advise is to seek knowledge and to stay away from these new era groups and sects. Bite hard onto the sunnah and the understanding of the salaf and save yourself from the callers to the doors of Hell-Fire. Don't believe the words of Bin Laden, who is hiding in some cave out in the mountains like khawarij use to hide, who calls the people destruction and fitnah. This is what Koronto calls to and as a muslim we must refute him and those that follow his path.

I expected a better response from you than this! What is my "extermist path"? I call myself a Muslim, I don't associate with any group; while you call yourself not a Muslim, but a Salafi Jadiid. When did I ever support violence or suicide bombings? When someone exposes your devious cult, you resort to cheap attacks like these. Nothing you say will surprise me, because your cult members have done worse. How many religious men have you sent to jail by fabricating lies about them & snitching them to the FBI? As for this issue, I have maintained over and over again that I don't believe in calling oneself "Salafi". I believe there is a sahih hadith that says one should call himself "Al Muslim, Al Mu'min, Cibaadulah". Inshallah I'll look it up when I get home. I think calling yourself Salafi can in a way work as a divisive element among the Muslims, although I agree 100% with calling to the Quran, the Sunnah with the understanding of the companions, the salaf and with 'baseera' (Sure knowledge). I don't necessairly agree with the name Salafi per se. As far as these very small divisions, walaalayaal lets be more reconciliatory towards one another. If all our intentions are pure and we're looking for the right path, then we must be more patient when explaining things to one another. The Anbiyaa were insulted, mocked etc. but would continue giving the dacwa without responding. Allah knows best.

Wasn't it you who asked me a while ago how come the issue involved Qabiil? Read what American-Salafi is saying when he denies Qabiil was ever involved. Even though the showdown in ATL was an ideological one, Somalis being Somalis managed to involve Qabiil in to everything and conveniently the commitee were mostly Daarood and the 2nd in charge who took Khaliif's place was Sh. C/Nur who was Marehan, while the cult men were either Hawiye or Isaaq. It worked for them well, they managed to convince everyone in Atlanta that the Masjid was a Daarood Masjid and every Hawiye or Isaaq person should boycott it. Many parents pulled out their kids from the madrasah, many congregation members fled, many supporters questioned their support; all because of lies.

Well it doesn't help the Sheikh who succeeded Khaliif was a Marehan lol. Not to sidetrack but couple years ago there was a big problem in the city when one of the few Somali supervisors in an airport job (and a good number of Somali pop works in the airport) was accused by some Isaaq of "slaving" them and making them work beyond their job description. But that is sidetracking.

I know Sh Khalif, Sh Cabinur, Sh Nur well, and I know qabil was not involved with them one iota. It was all idealogical as these are sincere brothers. The problem was the Jaahil Somali odays who don't know anything other than qabil who probably involved it and the distirbutions of positions probably made the shaytan stronger in putting those evil thoughts in their minds. Qabil is the cancer of Somalia and you know you're finished when you cannot leave qablaayad at the door when visiting the house of Allah.

Sxb. OBL and Zawahiri are "Takfiris" they are the mortal enemy of the Salafi Jadiid. If you pay close attention to American-Salafi, you will notice his obsession with OBL and everything OBL stands for, as if he is speaking on behalf of the American or Saudi government. Al-tihad, akhwaan al-Muslimeen, etc. are also their mortal enemies. Did you know that Sh. Daahir Aweys's own brother calle Sh. Ahmed is a Salafi Jadiid? During the ICU days, Salafi Jadiids didn't exist in Somalia, because the al-itihad, al-shabaab, etc. wouldn't let them flourish. But they found fertile grounds in other countries including North America.
