I use this forum sometimes to practice writing..its fun..just write anything..be creative..add something new..try different expressions..something out of the ordinary for you..just be insane
Where do you practice? If u end up writin things that don't make sense, one will only look stupid....We should create a thread where we just talk in Somali...Even if what we're saying doesn't make any sense.

Kh...like when you want to say..Khadra...
Q...Like when you want to say..Qaad

and the vowls which are called:

Shaqalka gaaban; A, E, O, I and U

Shaqalka dheer: AA, EE, OO, II, OO..

Bar( Teach) and Baar( bar)
Dheg(ear) and Dheeg(Name)
Bog (Page) and boog( Wound or scar)
Cir(Sky) Ciir (Butter milk)
Tuf( Spit) Duuf ( buger)

The easiest way is to memorize words....Like "kulaha", waxaa" "mantaa" etc. Or else it's gonna be like learning a whole new language with all the rules.

Oh I didn't even consider the whole dialect thing. Maybe learning Somali on Snet isn't such a good idea after all. My parents already tell me that I speak Somali like a boran. Speaking in a mix of dialects wouldn't be that great of an idea.
