A society of sheep.

Postby The-Screw » Wed Feb 06, 2008 11:19 am

i noticed something on my FB today, somalis young and old get involved in american politics, we spend hours debating and campaigning and making efforts to get other people to get out, vote and make a difference, i admit to doing this myself, but sadly though, we never take ourselves seriously when it comes to Somali politics, we argue and fight about stuff that happened long before we could walk, what gives?!

somali politics is qabil politics.
we don't have parties to choose from other than your qabil or other qabils.
there is no principle la isku ra'o.
if i am approved as somali citizen i am thinking to create an islamic part
and would go for democracy.lol

Screw,

Maybe because with the American politics qabil is not involved..and our votes can actually make a difference in choosing.

Very accurate read, the screw !
Most of our problems are not about ideas , but still that same mentality of fighting over a pit stop in the middle of the desert.
I'll tell you this in my 3 years in Snet , the only guy exhibiting a wide grasp over all the issues in Somalia has been Gama'diid, funny he's HG.lol

Is anyone else posting on this thread actually from the US of A?

I'd really love to know. Seems like a lot of people have this rosy view of US of A, which is probably based on bunk. Just like like Bill Clinton said folks this is a "A Fairy Tale" which meant that a black person can never be elected in good old US of A.

Well, wake up, wake up darn it, and don't feel bad you can elect someone who look like you, care about you, think of you, can be elected as president of these great United States of America.

Thats it, isn't it??? Thats what got black people sooooooooooo raved upppppp huh???? LOOOOOOOOOOL

I dare say he didn't mean it that way!ITs black's insecurity that interpreted it that way!!! LOOOOOOOOOOL

Do u remember sometimes ago on Oprah,a white religious christian woman experimented in getting to know how one black family lived, so oprah gave her a chance. While they were interacting --obviously & genuinely moved by the black family she declared ----'beautiful creatures u all are'

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL all HELLL broke loose.

The entire family went after her.Their son articulated what the entire family felt.....

'she called us creatures like the aliens in WILL SMITH movies'!

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

Noteside: Creature is a biblical word--derived from 'creation'--creatures of GOD. LOOOOL

Blacks, and obviously jr above have unresolved insecurities and issues that need to be dealt with before really gaining any self esteem! LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

If somalis were a bunch of sheep somalia will be intact today and very peacefull you know why because they all follow the one sheep ahead of them no matter where they are going. We dont listen and dont respect leadership. Maybe we should come up with another more sturborn animal to represent our state of affair.

But you have a point Srew!
