MODS: Steps to improve SNET

Postby Twisted_Logic » Fri Feb 08, 2008 1:46 am

I feel that Somalinet should be brought to the same high standards as other successful forums. It is no secret that this site lacks in many fields and is continually ignored by the moderators and administrators. The following steps should be taken to make this place worthwhile:

1) Members should be allowed to post images. It is unacceptable that we can't post pictures directly

2) Qabiil talk ( positive and negative) should be banned. There should be no reason for people to be talking about qabil. We have destroyed our country because of qabil. We shouldn't use it. Period.

3) The quoting format is primitive and out of date. Every quote should be in a block

4) Moderators should be appointed on seniority basis

5) Members should be allowed to paste articles. It is frustrating and really cumbersome using links instead of posting articles

6) Non-Somalis should be treated with respect. There are far too many members who criticize non-Somalis and even prohibit them from talking about Somali issues. That is simply irrational and beyond reason

You have a point. Non somalis are badly treated in this place and it is not fair.

I totally disagree with you, This is The general Section, we should talk about anything and what ever that the forumers wants discuss...

What makes this place so intressting and the most active forum is, the freedom we got, we can talk about anything from Politics, clan issues, sex and you name it...

I compeletly and utterly agree with you there! Qabiil is and should only be a way of identifying yourself to other people. This whole "my qabiil is better than yours"-bullshit should stop!

I think alot of people hold the same views as mine. This forum especially the way it is adminstered is just utter non-sense. If people are making the same request over and over again, you should heed the call and make change. This place is in all honesty nothing short of a circus. I belong to multiple forums and in all truth, this place ranks as the worst. The whole point of Mods is stop set a direction and enforce the laws. In this place aint even got rules. Just Mod opinions

One more thing.....I think religion is disregarded on this site. Just look at the Islamic forum, it hasn't been touched since 1999, and I have been askin 4 permission 2 the sister's section since I got here, and I still don't have it.....Weird indeed.
