Turkish lawmakers vote to lift head scarf ban
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

updated 1 hour, 32 minutes ago
ANKARA, Turkey - Turkey's parliament on Saturday approved two constitutional amendments that would lift a decades-old ban on Islamic head scarves in universities, despite the fierce opposition of the secular establishment.

Parliament voted 403-107 in favor of the amendment that would insert a paragraph into the Constitution stating that everyone has the right to equal treatment from state institutions.
----------------------------------
Finally Turkey is waking up. That Islamic party is changing alot of stuff.

You know what i find funny? A country that wants to be soo liberal and secular like turkey, who pride themselves on "Freedom", are not allowing for the people freedom to practice their religion.

Is it not crazy, that our women are wearing Hijjab and even Niqab hear in American schools and even taking their ID pictures with Niqab and nobody says anything. But a Muslim country that use to lead the Caliphate state -has ban the Hijab and debating whether to allow it or not.
