Do you go to African Student Association Meetings on campus?

You should definitely go if you get a chance again, though you may not enjoy it like I prolly would. What I noticed is, we African have a tendency to bond/unite in foreign lands, particularly when all we got is eachother. There weren't lot's of us where I was going to school but the little group we had was pleasant. It made my Africaness a bit more valid and real just by going to these meetings. Good times, we was like family. We had a building called little Africa at campus too.

We have a decent number of Somali students here but the SSA is a little weak. Right now we have an energetic guy leading it. I like their shows and the cultural stuff they do. Few years ago they were very incompetent. I used to call them Somalis for Social Attention (SSA) :)

We belong to many of the different parts of a spectrum which is Africa, Cushitic people are African, Somalis are African, with an African language, on the horn of...guess what?...Africa...
