The recent kidnapping was a stunt and act of sabotage to detour and/or limit Aid agency activity in Maakhir country. Such an act by the Somaliland regime would only create a reef situation among Isaaqs living in Maakhir. Maakhir has never been hostile towards guests and has extended their arms to the international community towards the humanitarian needs of Somalis within Maakhir.
